I initially gave it 1 star as every household item I measured that was supposed to be of a certain weight was about 20% off. I dug into the manual and it says I need a 4000 gram weight to calibrate. Great, so do I have to buy calibration weights just to make this device accurate? Luckily I came across a blog that suggested using the US Mint's website and getting cents, dimes, quarters and dollars because they are made to exacting standards. The scale has a lag but it was fairly accurate, say 1-2% not 20% for packaged goods (my mistake was that I didn't take into account the weight of the tare or package as the weight is on most products referenced content only).
