Pros: - no need to buy extra filters - easy to clean Cons: - water flows too fast resulting in weak coffee leads; needs to be poured slowly to get stronger - the brew cone detaches from the bottom, presumably to make cleaning easier, but can be annoying at times. Probably the most helpful tip I can give is to pour hot water very slowly or add it little by little. . It takes longer, but the coffee comes out much better. The first day I filled the filter with hot water and it drained pretty quickly and the coffee was very weak. Since then I only add a little water, wait for it to run out, then add some more, let it drain, etc. It takes a long time, but the coffee comes out better. I think when the filter is full the weight of the water might push it through faster than if there was some water.
