Recently my dad and I went gremlin hunting on his 1968 Camaro Z/28 and among the many repairs we did was replacing the universal joint shaft . For some reason none of the nearby car dealerships had the cross braces my dad needed, so he made me order them. First, I should mention that the machine features a standard street rod setup. 350 CID engine mated to a Muncie M20 4 speed gearbox leading to a standard limited slip rear differential. Nothing out of the ordinary here. These universal joints are ideal for the drive shaft of the car. Although we had trouble installing them without losing or breaking the needle bearings (I think anyone who doesn't do this type of work will have trouble), we installed them cleanly, and my dad was able to get the car out for a while . A couple of rides before snow started to fall here and no problems with driveshaft or universal joints.
