Works well. I use it on my Sennheiser HD 558 headphones instead of the special cable and connector that came with it. This requires a slight modification of the headphones. The genuine Sennheiser HD 558 cable comes out of the 2.5mm plug in the left earcup but has two small protrusions that protrude into the jack/jack hole and into two slots on the 2.5mm plug end of the cable snap. uses several different sized drill bits, increasing by 1/64" each time, from 12/64" to 15/64" to scrape away these protrusions. I inserted each bit into the Sennheiser jack hole and made a few turns, shaving a bit more off the nipples each time, other than simply disconnecting the original 2.5mm plug from the left earcup, but I believe this will void your Sennheiser warranty. left earcup and remove the plastic plug from the left earcup that forms the plug. le with tabs, but I do NOT recommend doing this as it loosens the mechanical support of the tiny circuit board that holds the socket and internal cable connectors. The original Sennheiser cable still works when I want to use it, but no. lasts longer thanks to Sennheiser's patented twist-lock mechanism. You no longer have to twist it to remove it. But now replacement cables like this 1.5ft cable will work, as long as they have thin enough connectors. Fits snugly with either the original Sennheiser cable or this 1.5ft cable, allowing the plug to easily fall out when not intended. 13/64" and 14/64" (or about 5.35mm) in diameter, so I probably trimmed 1/64" more bumps than I needed. that doesn't seem to matter from what I can see. The original Sennheiser cable in the HD 558 is 3 meters long, with a 2.5mm plug on one end (with two small slots for the locking tabs) and a large 1/4" plug on the other end. The The thickest part of Sennheiser's 2.5mm plug is 6.6mm in diameter, so the 5.35mm plug (the thickest silvery part) of this product fits easily into the Sennheiser HD 558 plug if you sand down the sennheiser protrusions a bit. . If you need a cable with the smaller 3.5mm plug on the other end, which is used in most portable devices, changing from the large 1/4" plug to the 3.5mm plug is a snap .5mm plug with the supplied Sennheiser adapter cumbersome and is often used Complaints about the Sennheiser HD 558.
