Does the job but clumsily.
I listened to the great reviews and ignored my gut feeling that these fasteners would take more time and effort than a simple clip. While they provide a secure hold for kitchen utensils (coffee bags, dog food bags, chips, crackers, etc.), they require 2 hands and some dexterity to attach and require a little more storage space than simple small clips. . Also, some people in my family just leave them off after opening something because it's too difficult to put them back on. I wish I could listen to my intuition.
