Not too bad for a light duty remote control oil radiator heater

I bought this one for a auxiliary heater for my living room on a hearth when I'm not using a fireplace there. while it was on a sale thru amazon. I selected this one as it was on sale, but also if one looks at similar models, there are a lot with almost identical appearance on not only the heater but the remote as well. so I went with picking one that had the prime delivery as well as a decent price on a similar look while checking the reviews on various ones that looked the same. my package arrived with a part that was a defective, but I did contact the people on the warranty, listed in the manual, and they worked with me to make it right. And then, after the problem was corrected, I tried it out. Very good and timely results from the support team.I call it light duty as it's small, light and some of the parts are thin (the metal support legs with wheels and the connectors, as well as the size is a little smaller from one I remember from the past years ago on a different brand)I've used some in the past that had just on/off buttons for the two coils (600/900 watt on each button's coil) that make the 600/900/1500 heat. This one work with a more digital control. and some buttons on the surface it has ON/OFF, then a mode on which power setting you want (600/900/1500, and the default on is 1500). Also there is a button to set for temperature control a higher and lower button to adjust the temp, and a way to add minutes if one wants to do a timer countdown to set the amount of time starting at 1 minute.I recommend using the remote control instead of the control buttons on the unit ESPECIALLY the on/off after you turn it on. that button was very stiff, and I had to press it while holding a heating fin to press it. That said, it worked well. takes a few minutes to warm us (I started with the 600 then the 900 watt separately, but that's the nature of an oil radiator, but once you turn it off remember it stays heated until the oil fins dissipate the heat) The remote is a lot easier to press than the power button on the unit.I do like having the timer control, so it can be set to work and fall asleep while it's turning off, and the thermostat can be helpful to conserve power usage in case it gets too warm in the area.I'm content with my purchase.
