After less than an hour of testing I am quite happy with this Wi-Fi booster. The screenshot shows "before" and "after". Dots 1, 2, and 3 (blue) represent the signal strength of my original network. Dots 4, 5, and 6 (orange) represent the signal strength of the extended network. Points 1 and 4 were at my house, in the opposite corner of my house. From the router (and on another floor) points 2 and 5 were on my porch where I had a smart lightbulb installed. Points 3 and 6 were next to a lamp post on my lawn where I had my second smart lightbulb installed. Installing the network extender was fairly easy. Moving the lightbulbs to the new network proved a bit of a hassle, but I can't really fault the device for that.
