Let me tell you how I saved $$ using this device. I was at the playground with my daughter when my check engine light came on. I was lucky that one of the guys pulled this device out of his car, scanned my car and found the exact problem, the intake manifold. Well at least I knew at that point I could still take the car to a mechanic who was going to charge me $80 to tell me exactly what the problem was. Well I called VW, told them what the code was and VW told me my manifold was under warranty so they would replace it for free. Do you think the first mechanic will tell me that? So I buy the same device and I like how easy it is to use, it shows me exactly what the problem is and basic car diagnostics like battery, alternator, oxygen sensors. And the fact that my VW is stuffed with sensors and electronics, that is, the device saves money. I believe everyone should have this in their trunk because this device saved me over $300 last week.
