Review on Dunlop Direzza DZ102 205/45 R17 88W summer by Mateusz Drabarczyk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

Bought in the first year of their sale (2022). Produced in the second half of 2022. At that time, I took a risk, since there was not a single review about them. And I didn't guess. Ran this tire for 3 seasons. Size 225/45/17. Made in Thailand. Auto - sedan, 1450 kg, permanent four-wheel drive, 260 hp - Manageability - on top. - Hydroplaning - practically absent. - Braking - 5 points. On one of the routes of the Altai Mountains, a ram ran out of the roadside. I braked in front of him from a speed of 100-120 km / h. ABS involvement was minimal. All the things that were in the back of the cabin flew forward towards me. And most importantly - the ram was not hurt. I will not say anything about small urban cases. In all unpleasant situations, he managed to slow down with a margin. I also note that there is a good factory reinforced brake system on original consumables (fluid, pads, brake discs). - Rutting - present. For size 225, this is normal. But out of all the 225/45/17s I've had, this one is the most stable in the rut. The steering wheel does not pull out of the hands. - Reliability - the sidewall is strong, but not overly oak, which gives comfort. I fell into unpleasant pits - without hernias. Balances great. - Noise - not noisy for sure. Does not cause discomfort. - Wear resistance is normal, but this is not a strong point of this rubber. Drove about 25,000 km on it. Slightly less or about half of the allowable tread has worn off. They should be enough for 50,000 km. In the city you will not reveal the full potential of this rubber. In turns on it you go easily and naturally. I really liked to ride this tire in Altai. In a compartment with a lively and serviced running gear, with good near-sports racks, you can work wonders on a car. Long serpentines at a speed of more than 100 km / h with a decent lateral overload you drive with a bang. At such moments, the understanding comes that you still need to try to get to the limit of these tires. As a result, I want to say that these tires are stable and safe. They will not let you down in a difficult situation. I recommend.

Pros
  • The best tires I've ever ridden. Completely satisfied. I would take the same set again.
Cons
  • None.
