Review on ๐Ÿ’ช ASRock Rack E3C236D4U Motherboard: High-Performance and Reliability for Enterprise Solutions by Tim Kallimanis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Doesn't work well with every memory.

Excellent performance for a server motherboard, the only thing missing is a dual 10GB NIC. The biggest downside to this motherboard is that it has to be the most RAM heavy motherboard ever! Tried Crucial, Kingston, Hynix, Skhynix. and i still get code 53 and three beeps! Ever since I bought this Mother%@#* board I have never been able to access its BIOS. I finally managed to find RAM with an approved serial number. Will update after I receive it. Close doesn't count for this motherboard, not even the 2 x 8GB DDR4 2400MHz ECC Hynix that was Supermicro. Swap them, even put them in the same slot with code 53 (incompatible memory). This is the most sophisticated motherboard I've ever owned. because I am using a Xeon V5 processor instead of a V6 which supports a higher clock speed of 2400MHz. Booting from Supermicro's SATA DOM 16 GB on FreeNAS, caching with Samsung E960 NvMe m.2 on up to six 4 TB HSGT hard drives. So far, Plex has been working without any major issues. If I could download Nextcloud right now I'd be a lucky clam!
