Great MagSafe mount. But the USB adapter does not work

Bought 2 of these with an extra USB-C to standard USB adapter to plug into my car's USB port. Unfortunately, the Magsafe charger will not charge my phone with this adapter. Tried both adapters. Same result. However, the mount itself is excellent. I bought a 20W USB-C car charger and everything is fine now.
