Very comfortable heel, great support. The mesh around the top of the foot/toe is quite rough against the skin. I recommend wearing socks. I wore them for about 6 hours at work (to break them in before hiking) and the top of the back of the shoe cut into my ankle and actually dented it. I felt like I was getting blisters (I wore socks and didn't get blisters) which is what I'm pointing to in the picture. Haven't worn them in the water yet but they look like the water is about to drain. Very durable sole so the stones don't cut into your feet. I bought them to wear in San Marcos in a few weeks.
