I have been brewing kombucha and needed a fine screen to filter out any particles that build up during the fermentation process. This mesh filter filters everything out and is very durable and easy to clean. Its size makes it fairly versatile for a variety of straining projects, but it still works great when I want to strain kombucha from bottle to glass. Unlike other filters I've used, it hasn't rusted even after sitting in the sink for a long time. It's stainless steel as advertised and something you can't take for granted as others claimed it was, but they rusted anyway. It is easy to clean in the dishwasher and retains its shape even when filled with many other items of crockery. I can definitely recommend this sieve. It is durable, easy to clean and is ideal for finer screening tasks. It is definitely worth the moderate price! I'm glad I switched from my cheap, poorly made filters.
