Nina is a cheap reddish brown feeder shrimp we bought as a pet. We don't know what species she belongs to, how old she is, or anything else about her. But Nina is loved very much. With several types of other fish that we keep as pets (including Red Devils, Oscars and even Betta Fish) we have chosen to only feed Hikari and Omega One. We were very surprised to find that Hikari prepared food that could be fed to our little crustaceans. You sink to the bottom, it's easy to get onto it. Since Nina does not see very well, she is easy to find due to the strong smell. The small size is small enough for easy eating. Since we started feeding her Hikari Crab Cuisine she has become much more active and seems to have a more lively personality. The best thing about crab cuisine is that we now do fewer water changes! Her water very quickly took on a very putrid odor. Now it stays clear and the water quality is much better! The chopsticks don't spoil in the water, so she doesn't have to eat them right away.
