Shorts Under Small

I got this for a Halloween costume this year. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition. My only problem is the size. I took XL to be safe and figured if it's big I could make it a little smaller but it fits like am/l. I usually wear L to XL, but here it was full. I think if I take off my shorts it will be perfect.
