On my mantel the top bricks are on the sides so the brick clips don't work. Over the years I have used decorations or stones to attach the garland to the mantel. When I found them I thought they would work. I have several because they are regulated. In my chimney, all of the bricks are horizontal except for the top of the cowl, which is vertical. I've tried brick clips but they won't hold my thick garland. I want the garland hooks to be bigger/longer and curl up. My garland is thick, I may have to go back and tie the garland with wire. It would be nice if the hook I use for the garland could be adjusted separately. (I use the one hanging from the stocking in the ad). The price is a bit high. $19 for 4 and I need 8.
