Inexpensive

I really liked this scanner. In general, it's excellent value for money, but I wasn't happy with it. I have an early 2000's Kia that I've been trying to diagnose some issues with and it seemed to do the trick for me. I was wrong. While this scan tool seemed good, it was missing a lot of (what I consider to be basic) PID data. (Fuel Trim for example?) I only had access to 17 real-time PID data about my car and only a few of them worked. Some of them crashed, leading me to believe it wasn't very compatible with my computer's software. I may have had too high expectations, but the live data was too weak for what I needed. Also, it seemed like a really cool little tool. I just needed something more advanced and compatible. I think I could try running crp touch pro or diagun IV. I still give it 4 stars because it's a great tool for the money and I won't spoil the review with my expectations. Try it. As long as you don't try advanced diagnostics, you're fine.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Requires a power outlet
