I am very satisfied with this knife sharpener. I have a large collection of Wüsthof knives and use them often. But after reading a Cook's Illustrated review a few years ago, I bought an 8-inch Victorianox chef's knife for about a third of the price of my Wusthof knife. I typically use if for tasks that don't require hitting the point of the blade to pierce something hard or dense. A thinner edge like an Asian knife instead of a thicker one like my German knives made an easy to spot difference, hence my biggest motivation for buying this sharpener (and after reading a review of a knife sharpener in Cook's Illustrated, where it was one the best) had to sharpen all my German knives so thin. Trizor made this quick and easy and my knives have never been sharper. I highly recommend it.
