In this evaluation, the focus is more on the design. We still really like the look and design of the lamp. Very close to the photo on the site. If you look through the photos you will get exactly what you see. The light comes with a standard universal adapter plate which is pretty standard. Our house is a typical colonial country house from the mid 90's. What I've found on various renovation projects over the years is that our electrical contractor's subcontractors were almost as diligent as MacGyvers in fabricating and installing the electrical boxes for all of our lights. The stream had/must be coded, but the actual boxes are an industrial hodgepodge of solutions. And, like in any house, there is and is a sediment with walls and ceilings. So what does that have to do with light and my three stars? The central bar that holds the 3 lights is actually on a hinge. This tripod with three light sources is attached to this movable arm that works just like a traditional plumb bob. The base, which is attached to the ceiling with a universal plate, comes with just two screws. Ideal for snapping. The light will not fall. Do not worry. However, with a slightly uneven ceiling (1/4"-1/2"), this central light support bar makes the whole light look askew. Two screws are not enough to "squeeze or pinch" the light to make it softer. So. The design of the lamp itself is top notch. Installed in a false ceiling, the luminaire appears crooked because the central mast is perpendicular to the luminaires. The rest of the light follows the ceiling line. We've tried adjusting, moving, and minimizing the effect, but it's still clearly there. Thank you for reading this novel.
