Never used for brushing

I liked the idea of this tool for removing weeds from between my brick pavement. When the item arrived I was unable to remove the plastic protection around the blade. I pulled, tried to cut it with scissors, tried prying it off with a screwdriver, and was about to try a box cutter, but figured I'd end up in the ER trying to use the blade to pry the guard off the other Blade, so I have to return the item. I don't know who and how put on this protective cover, but it didn't move. Too bad, because I need such a tool
