As a professional cinematographer, I can say the following. it's awesome. I use it with my GH4 and it fits very well. There is a small gap between the top of the GH4 and the bottom of the top rail. I like how easy it is to access the card slot, battery compartment, and other inputs. Solid block, machined metal (aluminum?). very well done. Comes with a package of screws, bolts and washers. The cheese board at the top is amazing. The side grip is a great addition and I use it when shooting handheld or with a monopod for extra stability. Yes, this is a real tree. pretty comfortable. It sometimes loosens, but the knurled knobs come in handy for quick tightening or loosening. word of wisdom. The bottom 1/4 20 camera mount screw tends to come loose from the base at times. Sometimes I find it lying on the bottom of my bag. I either took it off after each use or put a piece of tape on it so I wouldn't lose it.
