Review on 🐰 Organic Viking Farm Alfalfa Hay: Ideal for Rabbits & Small Pets by Paul Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fragrant farm-fresh green goodness receives an enthusiastic wrinkle-chin-rub of approval

Sadly, even in my rural area, the days of buying a whole square bale of alfalfa from a local dairy farmer for a few dollars are long gone. But this hay is so fresh, green and smells good, and the price for a 10 pound box is very cheap compared to buying an inferior product in small bags from big suppliers, usually grown in an unknown place and under unknown conditions becomes. I love that this hay has a traceable origin and comes straight from the manufacturer in a box with no plastic packaging. out of print) and the quality was consistently better than the hay I got from other sources. My 5.5 lb mini lop is eagerly chewing 10 lbs in about 2-1/2 months. A 5 lb box might have had a slightly lower moisture content and therefore a slightly higher percentage of broken leaves at the bottom of the box, but you can never completely remove random leaves and dust; it is simply an inherent property of alfalfa. If you can't waste crumbs, try using them to make homemade treats (there are plenty of treat recipes online for a variety of little critters). My high-spirited rabbit was only given alfalfa hay when I was adopted. in adulthood, and therefore refuses to eat the recommended timothy (or garden grass, or oat hay, or botanical mix, or dandelion, or, or, or...). I look forward to enticing him into switching to timothy when the first timothy harvest arrives.
