Poor angle resulted in serious damage

We have had this case for 5 months now. It worked great - until it did. We liked its shock resistance. However, the material is very thin at the location of the power and volume buttons. My kid accidentally dropped it on that very edge and the screen broke. We will fix the iPad, but we will not reuse this case!
