I have an 8 handicap and decided to try and line the ball. Was worried it would be a little busy with all the lines but it isn't. There are some things that most or all professionals do. Everyone takes off their gloves to hit, I don't know if that reduces the number of hits, but I do. Most put a line on their ball, I had to try. When I find the time to use the lines, I often run the ball down the line. It definitely reduced 2 shots, brought my score back and I'm making more birdies.
