Review on πŸ¦„ Black Unicorn Magnum 6" Pepper Mill by Troy Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's as good as they say

For me it came down to three makes/models: Unicorn Magnum (what's the name?), Cole & Mason Keswick and Peugeot u'Select. All three looked good, but I went with the Unicorn Magnum, which should have the most reliable grinder and should grind the most peppers in one revolution. Plus assembly in the US, which is nice. I'll probably try the other two someday because I just want to know how they compare, but that probably won't be for a while as the Unicorn Magnum is great (yet). What can I say, I love gadgets. To be honest I don't know what the smaller brands think. There's a lot of junk out there that looks good but doesn't work. You'll read things like "Ceramic drill bits stronger than steel." The ceramic bits I've tried are nowhere near as good as the Unicorn Magnum steel bits. I'm sure there are good ones out there, but nothing like the Magnum. If they don't sharpen as well as the Magnum to begin with, it doesn't really matter how long they last. Magnum is very easy to fill and the window stays closed. Out of the box it worked great. I didn't have to play with the grind control. I will eventually, but it's nice that it yields a high volume of finely ground peppers without over-rotating. It's a little stiffer for turning, but that's not a problem for me. I won't repeat everything that has been said, suffice it to say that I think the positive reviews are quite justified. This is a great product.
