Always wanted to make this and finally decided after reading so many positive reviews. All you need to succeed is a little patience, as you'll need a spirit level and tape measure (and some painter's tape) to snap your cap to the wall. I ended up using my plane's width (about 3 inches) as the baseline between each row and cut out an 8 inch template (from a cardboard flap) to measure the vertical. Also, I've attached them to the wall with command strips so I don't damage my walls, and since I wear my hats every day, I'll take them off the wall regularly. It was an extra expense, but I'm a bit prone to OCD and wanted to get it installed right the first time. Now I look at my caps every day when I'm sitting in my office.
