I was a little apprehensive about some of the reviews saying the press was hard to shut down, but it really isn't. Place your hand on the top center and press down to make the bars slide easily. Note that this requires some effort, so it's not necessarily good for the elderly or those with weak arm strength, but it doesn't take a bodybuilder to put it on either. The press itself is simple, easy to clean and takes up little space. So far the plastic feels solid and the spring appears to be rust resistant. The press did a great job of squeezing water out of my super hard block and didn't make a mess when I released the latches. Overall I like this device very much and I will recommend it to my friends.
