I keep these in the car to floss while driving. So I think about flossing every day. They are good between clenched teeth and use rice to get more between the teeth and massage the gums. Yes, the thread breaks. I would say that about 1 out of every 3 times I use it I have to pick up another one to finish the rest of the teeth or finish the edge. Yes, I would recommend.
