It looks like the manufacturer is going to use a "universal" remote control case and put internal components in it that are programmed to work with the only item it's sold for. So it seems like they don't quite know what to assign to which buttons, so there are two mute buttons, three sets of volume buttons, etc. The buttons are labeled so it's not a huge issue, it just takes some getting used to because things are in strange places. Since the thing was clearly designed for use with a TV, they didn't know what to do with all the buttons on the TV. To be honest I'm fine with that, I don't think I want buttons that don't do anything, and I can put up with buttons that do something unexpected when I'm trying to use the thing in a dark memory .
