. I have this unit with built in GPS so no cable is required to determine distance travelled. It actually received and started navigating within a minute of turning it on. So no significant delay. I am very satisfied with this device. I synced it. It didn't record my last completed trip. I hope it picks up the next one as it has already been synced once. It comes with two mounts. They're different. If I can get another mount for my other bike, I can use it on another bike too. I am very satisfied with this device. It works as described. I have yet to add my bike details. I think it uses the information for some calculations, although I don't know how it can tell what gear I'm in to work out my cadence. Overall I am very happy with this bike computer.
