Stay away, at least if you're using a newer Mac. I use Catalina so that's the point. I downloaded their software and disabled hibernation for the box, check it out. The hard drive initialized flawlessly, the R5 was formatted flawlessly, the read/write speeds were around 220/240 which is exactly what I expected so I downloaded around 4TB of data which went through fine. Relax. Went home, returned to the office the next day and the computer turned off. Hm. I had to do a hard reboot. Drive is not recognizable. Reinitialized, reformatted, confirmed sleep mode disabled and boiled for more than 4 hours while recovering 4TB of data. Everything worked fine, cool, apparently there was an error during the initial setup. I came to the office in the morning, the computer is on, but does not wake up. The disc box shows all blue discs. I have to do a hard reboot. The default software shows the connected drive and all drives in blue, glows blue on the box, but the operating system cannot see the drives because they are not mounted. I ripped out my drives and sent the unit back. I have no idea what's going on, but it's no good, at least for Mac users.
