We handle cash payments from clients. Using the two-way lights on the Counterfeit Tri-Test Portable Detector, we can see through the cash to reveal information in US Currency. If the cash doesn't pass the first test, we have a number of other tests to perform in order to determine if the bill is legal or counterfeit. We found a $5.00 bill that was counterfeit a few years ago. Because we caught it before making our bank deposit, we were able to identify the person who paid the money and charge her for the $5.00 error instead of taking the loss ourselves. We also use it on checks and money orders to reveal hidden markings and watermarks. It has come in very handy, and is part of our standard procedure for preparing deposits.
