Not quiet. The wheel is not quite round and is mounted crookedly, so that it hits the base with every revolution. I also had to screw the base to the bottom of the cage to keep him from moving across the floor while he runs. I tried supporting the lever that the wheel attaches to with another piece of wood to keep it from hitting the base, but that wasn't enough to stop the impacts. The design is flawed or poorly executed. It would hurt to go back, but I want to.
