I'm new to poly gel nails and nothing but press on. But over the years I've spent a lot of time at the nail salon and spent hours watching tutorial videos on YouTube. This kit is perfect for beginners who have the patience to practice and research. There are virtually no instructions for this kit, so don't expect to just pop it open, pop it out, and voila! No no no. I've looked at some of the reviews and it makes me very frustrated that people are complaining about things that after thorough research they would know to be user error. If you don't prep your nails properly, you will have a lift or they will come loose. If you don't push back your cuticles or cover them with polygel, problems like allergies etc. may occur. If you use too much lubricating solution (alcohol), the gel will become too thin and may crack or peel the nail off quickly. It is also important that it is thick enough at the top (in the middle of the nail) and thin near the cuticle and tip and on the sides of the nail bed - the entire nail should be covered. In double forms it is always better to go up than down. You can cut off the excess at any time. This is a very generous set for the money! 12 jars of glitter powder and 2 foils, plus all the stickers and other design stuff, that's great! Please, please, please! Do yourself a favor and check out YouTube before trying it yourself. Or tiktok. Just look for Dual Shape Polygel for Beginners. In any case, if you don't have or don't want to spend about 2 hours on nail extensions, this is not your option. As for me, I'm very happy with it and am already looking for more colors and extra chic!
