Reduces voltage to 5 volts
This is only a power cord for the Nuvi series, so there is not much to describe here. However, I would like to point out that this cable accepts an input voltage of 8-36 volts and goes down to 5 volts for the Nuvi. Try as I might, I couldn't find any specs for it, so I took a chance that it would have a built-in voltage regulator. I basically cut off the data cables and just connected the power cables to my bike to power the Nuvi. .The cable has a sticker (poorly visible in the picture) that identifies the wires as follows: Red: 8-36 VDC.
