My dog got sick and the house smelled like rotten apples and vinegar! After using this replacement scent for 3 weeks, my house started smelling like rotten apples or vinegar. I ripped open my closet because I thought something was messed up. This smell lasted about a week until I remembered that the only real change in my house was the new scent. I pulled them out and saw a strange film and crystalline deposits in the containers. I took a deep breath and caught the smell of rotten apples. Even my company could smell this strong disgusting odor. One of my worst purchases. Everything they used to create this scent goes bad after a few weeks. There is a little less than 1/2 liquid left so not worth the money. My dog got sick a few weeks ago. He got so sick I had to put him to sleep. He coughed and coughed and that was only when he was at my house. It suddenly happened about a week after they connected. The cough weakened his windpipe and he choked. I had to put it down. I pray it wasn't the smell and not what made him cough. He was a Pomeranian and the house can't have a strong smell or this will happen. I've used other odor eliminators with my Pomeranian for many years, this was the first time he had any problems. I forgot they were connected. I'm sorry I didn't get it on time. It only took 2 weeks and he went from healthy to terminally ill. RIP HARLEY. I miss you and I'm so sorry.
