Great with or without the top case
I occasionally take out my top case and stow it away so it's nice to be able to expand the extra stuff to cover it or hide it behind the zip. if not needed. I noticed that the front of the lid also slides out between the mirrors, probably to accommodate the tall windshield. It fits great on my BV 250 and stays in place on windy days thanks to the elastic velcro straps. Well designed.
