The following is my first assessment shortly after purchasing this set: Not entirely satisfied but partially satisfied at the time but the longer I use it the more awful it seems to me. There are intermittent moments where the background hiss and hiss is much worse than other times, and sometimes weird screeching noises bleed through the conversation, something I thought shouldn't have happened with DECT 6.0 and my other similar devices didn't happen. In addition, the body of the phone itself is very thin. Phone battery covers are easy to remove. Often you have to find the spot where it disengaged and snap it back into place. Sometimes I also hear a ringing on a wired landline phone, but the cordless phone doesn't ring at all. , or there's a pause of a few seconds before it rings, again something I've never had with my other cordless phones. I wish I had bought this now. I've always loved AT&T products, but this set really gave me a sour taste in my mouth. Not worth returning even if it was within the return period due to all the trouble you had to put in to get it set up and working so I'll just eat up the cost and maybe get it at the local thrift store Store sell it when I can find something better. Previous review comments below: I replaced an old AT&T 3 cordless phone with this one. The old set was model 82318, which is no longer made, and this set seems to be the closest thing to it. AT&T phones are generally top notch, but I don't think these new phones are as good as the older models. Comparison: more hum and noise, also close to the base unit. At just 30 or 40 feet away, you can still use it, but there's noise and uneven reception. The old device had useful features that this one doesn't have, such as B. External buttons to control the phone and ringtone volume. However, you will have to navigate through the settings menu. So if you're talking to someone and want to turn the volume up or down, you can't. The old set had external jacks so you could plug in a hands-free headset if you wanted, it doesn't. When you press keys on a new device, there's a delay before the sound is produced, and that's why you can easily dial the number twice. The old set of keys responded immediately with a beep, there were never any problems with the set. The old kit came with belt clips that you could use if you wanted or take them off if you didn't. Not included in this set. The new device has several features that the old one didn't have, such as For example, displaying the date and time, setting a caller ID for incoming calls, and saving the current time. Also, the old set didn't show how much time the battery had left, this one does. The display backlight is better on the new kit. Being so happy with the old model and having lasted so many years I assumed it would be the same or better quality but I was wrong. If I had known that, I could have shopped a bit more and looked at other models and brands and their reviews.
