I've had issues with my Bluetooth 4.0 dongles where my excellent Logitech mice and keyboards were having communication issues with unreliable performance. I thought 5.0 PCI_E might make a difference. I've had it 8 hours and my 603 gaming mouse isn't missing a single step and I can use it again. My impression is that Wi-Fi is a small performance improvement. It may have better range, but my top speed is 866 with previous generation routers. The comments have been overwhelmingly positive, unlike several similar products, and that's what won me over. I see this point as trying to upgrade a bit to things like 10G. The Internet and the network have fallen in price (from 2 to 5 years).
