I tried a cheaper thinner version of this type of product but over time it started to irritate the skin due to the protruding rib cutting into the skin due to its thinner design . Removing the foil didn't help either. This slimmer version also got a lot of good reviews, but I suspect it was more because it was cheaper. The 3M Coban version is thicker and much more comfortable to use. It sticks to itself very well. This wrap is used in many medical facilities. The higher price is more than justified when the advantages are weighed.
