Disclosure: I am a former POP Voice customer and this is my own opinion based on my knowledge and experience with the product. If you want to make simple voice recordings for the internet, this is a microphone. To you. Also, if you want semi-professional audio for journalistic or research interviews, the POP Voice PV510+ lavalier microphone with a whopping 16" cable is a good and affordable option. This mic is VERY sensitive and allows for wide placement on a person, which is great when you're recording video and don't want the mic to be in the frame. The microphone has remarkable dynamic range for a sensor in this price range and does a good job of canceling out ambient noise. It's well calibrated to hear the human voice and offers a clear and crisp recording that accurately reproduces the subject's speech. A possible downside is the high sensitivity of this microphone. Users are advised to position the transducer at least 12 inches from the subject's mouth and monitor audio levels during recording. While I haven't had any issues with this product, I bought a previous version of this mic and had some trouble connecting it to apps on my Essential Phone. I'm happy to report that POP Voice has a very responsive and helpful customer service department. I have successfully used this microphone with Open Camera and Cinema FV-5 Lite available on Google Play. I highly recommend this microphone for everyday and semi-professional use.
