I wear these glasses while driving here in sunny California. I've been diagnosed with degenerative retinopathy, so they're a must. I recently had cataract surgery and got new lenses that give me 20/20 distance vision, but within 6 feet I have trouble reading a car dashboard. These glasses solved that problem with a +1.5 bifocal insert. The rest of the lens is single color glass. The goggles are light but seem strong enough. I keep them in the car. If I come across a polarized equivalent I'll try, but so far these work. There is no glare except when the sun is low and shining sideways at a 90 degree angle. A baseball cap or other wide-brimmed hat can fix this.
