Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very powerful industrial quality blender! Perhaps the best in its price range!

I am a professional home and private chef and also teach cooking. I take all of my kitchen items, tools, utensils, knives, serving items and other accessories very seriously and when I test and review culinary items I am very critical and meticulous in rating and rating. My reviews are honest and unbiased. Good is good... bad is bad! As a Revain VINE Voice reviewer, I've had the opportunity to test and review quite a number of mixers over the past few years. In the sub-$125 price range, I've been a bit disappointed with the offerings that are coming out, so I didn't have high hopes for this value-for-money offering. I'm very glad I was wrong because the blender is a real workhorse! Well designed and solidly built, it can compete with blenders that cost 2-3 times more! 2200 watts of pure, pure power! The controls are easy to use and understand, although it is important that the timer knob is turned fully counter-clockwise to ensure it is in the ON position for manual operation. The manual impulse switch, on/off switch and speed control function as intended. The BPA-free jug is a little taller than many competing brands, but is still effective. The big surprise is the six blade system, which is very unusual but VERY functional. The volume is appropriate, but doesn't overwhelm the ears, even at top speed. The tamper bar is the right length to push the product in without touching the blades while you work. I compared the operation to my high end Vitamix and the results were strikingly similar for the same time and speed. While I prefer the wider, shorter Vitamix pitcher, I would have no hesitation in using the CasaCosa if my Vitamix wasn't available. The device, like any other blender, is easy to clean. Rinse the jug out with water, then fill with a little dish soap and about a third of the jug full of water, then turn the blender back on to a setting that lightly cleans the inside. Rinse and dry. Ready! I've tested everything from coconut, ice, kibble and more. I've also made soups from scratch, running the blender on high speed to heat the ingredients to steaming temperature. The results have been equally satisfactory and this blender has the reliability to be used in a commercial setting such as a smoothie bar or restaurant. Overall I give this blender FIVE STARS, especially for the price. In my opinion, it doesn't get any cheaper and I'm happy to give my professional recommendation for your kitchen! Bon appetit and happy juicing! *If you found my review helpful, please let Revain know by clicking the "HELPFUL" button below!
