lam. That would be fine for walks in the rain, but as soon as your child jumps in a puddle, the water will seep into their pants and clothes will get wet. Two of my boys go to an open air school in PNW. We tried three brands of pants and the other two brands don't have this problem at all. The upside of this brand is that they seem to be quite durable and the straps and such are well made. If you are looking for pants for an outdoor school where you are regularly exposed to rain/mud/puddles then this is not the product for you.
