Revainrating 1 out of 5

Don't buy this if you need wireless charging - it died in 11 days, only used 3 times!

is available I'm frustrated and feeling a bit silly. Now I realize I should have paid more attention to the reviewers complaining about the death of wireless charging here, but I took the risk anyway. big mistake. Wireless charging stopped working 11 days after the arrival of this clock radio, after wireless charging 3 times! All three times my phone got 100% at around 30% for around 90 minutes. Once the lid was removed, the lid was turned on twice. Charging worked the same as my Samsung brand wireless charger. When I was looking for a new clock radio because the display on my longtime Timex Indiglo clock radio was completely faded, I came across the Emerson clock radio range. Emerson ER100401 features, notably wireless charging, USB port, blue night light and blue display. I originally considered the similar model ER100301 because it also has a blue night light and display but no wireless charging and why pay more for something that no longer works anyway. I can always connect my phone charger to the USB port on the back. I'm pretty sure my phone (Samsung Galaxy S10) isn't the problem as wireless charging is still working. with my proprietary Samsung wireless charger. cover or not. So far all other features I have tested on this Emerson seem to be working at the moment including the display, night light and radio functions. I rarely listen to terrestrial radio, but use it as an alarm clock when needed, otherwise I use my phone's alarm clock. At the time of writing this review (4/23/21) I have yet to verify that the USB port is actually working as it should. Conclusion: Do not buy this ER100401 wireless clock radio as it will be completely useless or will not last long after you use it. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to return the device. The price difference for the model without wireless charging is only $5, and if all other features end up working properly, I basically paid $5 more for the ER100301 model without wireless charging.
