I bought this product because I had problems with the small sliding metal camera covers (which I like) as they wouldn't stick on some modern phones and tablet screens . The new version of Gorilla Glass is much slippery than previous versions, and the self-adhesive webcam covers don't stick securely to it (especially on Microsoft Surface devices, but also on Samsung smartphones). In addition, metal webcam covers can scratch laptop cases and keyboards when in use. As I saw, Because these new lids are soft and work on a different principle (tiny suction cups), I decided to try them. They usually work better than glue, but I find them less attractive than sliding metals and they certainly don't slide. This means you have to physically remove and replace the cover when you want to use your camera. Finally, they are not YET fully adhered to the (large) surface display, for which this new glass appears to be a perfectly smooth surface. However, they stick fairly well and don't move nearly as much as adhesive-based coatings, and the fact that the tack can be touched up with water is a big bonus. So I think I will continue to use these cases. because at least I don't have to throw them away once they eventually fall, which they do. In addition, they do not scratch the device. In general,
