Can't say enough good things about this watch!

Love love love this watch! I've tried the Polar 300sx before and it really pales in comparison. Garmin offers so many options and once you get used to it it becomes very easy to use! What I like best: - The HRM is very reliable (the only downside is that the machines in the gym don't recognize the signal). from him (but that's not a problem as you can still see your HR on the watch display) - The pedometer is small and works very well - Allows you to train in several modes (general, running, bike) and saves different information for each activity - You can set multiple heart rate zones - Each training mode has training pages that you can set to show what you want to see and you can set 5 pages to scroll through (or set to auto-scroll) during your workout ). For example, in run mode, I have one page that shows my heart rate, elapsed time, and calories, a second page that shows mileage, pace, and steps, etc. Track your workouts on your computer and transmit the information wirelessly when you are in the coverage area of the computer (I downloaded the program, but you can also use the online system) - you can schedule workouts on the computer and to the watch send. For example, if you want to run a pace, it sends information to your watch and tells you what to do. The watch is a regular size and doesn't look like a training computer on your wrist - it just looks like a regular training watch. A few cons: - Can't figure out how to get the pedometer to transmit data in general activity mode - Wish I could track my steps when exercising indoors - The buttons require a firm touch. I really think this is a great watch for people who are really into fitness and want to track multiple activities. I've been incredibly motivated since I've had it and am still learning new and exciting things it can do. I ran this week and when I got home I could see my fastest mile, fastest pace, total run, lap speed - all sorts of things! I am planning to train for a half marathon and I think this is the perfect training tool. I highly recommend it!
