I've used this brand for over 10 years. I value the consistency I get with the ink. It has good Resistance to water, in that it doesn't run when wet, and dries quickly. This is important in an inkjet. As with all printer inks, the downside is the price. Which brings me to the second reason I prefer Epson. Each ink color is separate, as opposed to a combined approach found in many brands. When one color runs out, your printing is over, even though one or two colors still have plenty of ink left in their reservoirs. No choice but to pitch it and insert another expensive canister. I think it's the most economical approach on the market.
