The shelf is a little fiddly to put together as others have mentioned, but it really wasn't as bad as some Commentators say that's how it should be, I didn't find any sharp edges. The shelf is quite large (bigger than many finished cabinets). Luckily my pantry was custom made by my husband with large and adjustable shelves and it fit perfectly. My only real dislike is the metal bar separators so maybe my rating would be 4.5 stars if I could give it a half star rating. It would be better if they were permanently attached and could be moved along the length of the shelves to adjust the width of the cans placed in that row. The metal bars used as spacers tend to pop out as there is no way to attach them to the rack. However, I can store three times as many jars in the same space as a single layer of jars without randomly stacking different sized jars that fall on my feet while I rummage through the pantry for what I need. My shelf doesn't sit perfectly flat on a pantry shelf, and the shelf's center shelf isn't attached to the shelf's "frame", but it is very stable with the jars placed in it. I'm not afraid that it will fall apart and the cans will be scattered everywhere. The construction is strong enough so that nothing sags under the weight of canned goods. It serves its purpose and meets my needs.
