Review on ๐Ÿงฎ Montessori Peg Number Board - Wooden Learning & Education Toy for Preschool Toddlers (3-5 Years Old) by Danny Bell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Started playing at 17 months. Longevity, almost 2 years still playing.

When I first unpacked it she was about 17 months old. At first I was intrigued and periodically groaned in concentration. In one session I laid out all 10 numbered boards. And then she was done. She fiddles with it from time to time and makes a few pieces at a time, but she didn't finish the entire set again until a few months later. I thought it was the end of $30. But now, at 23 months, she's back at it. She can now place the pegs faster and easier and learn some numbers while playing. The details are smooth and fun to work with. However, the box breaks easily. It's well made and definitely suitable as a gift, I wish the box was more durable, the numbers were embossed and it had a few extra pins for security. This would make it a 5 star entertainment and gift for kids!

Pros
  • Early development and activity toy
Cons
  • There are downsides
